My Aunt Marie She doesn’t like me And I will tell you why.
It’s because when I was young I’d poke out my tongue Whenever she’d walk by.
I’d make my plea And say, “I’m now thirty three. I don’t do what I used to do.
I can now guarantee That in my company I won’t poke my tongue out at you.”
“I’m sorry” she replied “No matter how I’ve tried, I just can’t see it that way
So I very much regret That I can’t forget And I can’t forgive you today.”
“Oh for the love of God It really is odd To hold a grudge for this long
For something so small That doesn’t matter at all Can’t you see that it’s wrong? ”
“I don’t agree” Said my Aunt Marie “You don’t know what stress it did bring
For months after the event You see I was sent By my husband to counselling.”
Well its no use now You can surely see how No forgiveness will be given to me
For what I did before So I will try and ignore And forget about my Aunt Marie.
