My Beautiful Life Poem by Debra Rich

My Beautiful Life

My Beautiful Life

Reflections

I need to love myself again.

Making peace with who I am
and where I am at this moment in time

I need to listen to my heart.
If I can't hear what it's saying
in this noisy world.
I need to make time for me.

I need to enjoy my own company.
Letting my mind wander among the stars.

I need to Try.
Take chances.
Make mistakes.

My life can be messy and
confusing at times,
but it's also full of surprises.
The next rock on my path
might be a stepping-stone.

I need to be happy.
When I don't have what I want,
I'll want what I have.

I will make do.
That's a well-kept secret of contentment.

There aren't any shortcuts to tomorrow.
I have to make my own way.
Knowing where I'm going
is only part of it.
I need to remember where I have been, too.

And if I should ever get lost, I don't need
to worry.
The people who love me will find me.
I can count on it.

My life isn't days and years.
It's what I do with my time
and with all the goodness and
grace of the women that I am
inside.

Making A Beautiful Life....
The kind of life I deserve.
