My Best Friend Poem by Elizabeth Stutz

My Best Friend

Rating: 5.0

two best friends
walk in this world
a heartbroken boy
a heartbroken girl

both needing and wanting
and searching for more
not knowing where they're going
their tears hit the floor

wanting to get out
and escape the madness
longing for an emotion
other than sadness

clinging to eachother
and holding their pain
they take a step forward
and two back again

struggling along
a tearfilled way
hoping and praying
for another day

the only thing left
is the friendship they share
and thats all that matters
not the pain that they bear
