My Black Sea Poem by Rebecca Maiese

My Black Sea

Rating: 5.0

At last the storms are gone; the blue skies; the bright Son
And shipwrecks lay at rest within the depths of my Sea
My reigning King I will go where you go, lead me I will follow
His wind echoes for love come home

Within the layers of remains in my Sea
So pure and truly met with the touch
His waters flow freely
My vessel abound at the crest of waves

I toss not my ore
Nor my head away from His will
But I give Him exactly what he asks of me
As natural as breathing, I give freely

First He asked me to forgive
And to forgive myself as well
At that sound wind in my sails
Most abound for land to run
But I did not

Next, He provoked me to be thankful
Not for goodness but for the heartache I was given
My small ship that I thought was strong
So fragile, the ocean depths began to pull me under

Submission is otherworldly
My King, for you I complied, you know me better than all
For you made me and want good things for me
The next day, I prayed to bless them as I weathered on my journey home

My black ocean, this sea I live my time, by and by
My heart, is the surface waters and full of life that radiates within
The currents that bring life abide
His fresh water everyday

Then my depths, the places in my heart I choose to guard
God finds the broken down palace I once was and still am
Hold me altogether, safe in Your hands my sea waters flow
The salt of my tears bottled up, preserved memories of a past

Precious bottle that keeps my memories took away the pain
Freedom through the ransom of paid forward forgiveness
Which is my black sea that I cast my vessel on
For the salt of my tears never will reach the surface waters again

Only true Love could save my life and make it anew
My Love, my daddy, take me were ever you want me to go
Your hands that hold me are worthy and I claim them as my own
For I belong to you as much as you belong to me
Forever thank you, my forever King
