My Burden...
In my heart,
You are hidden...
A weight -
I must carry alone...
In my heart,
You shine so brightly...
In my soul,
I still burn...
In my memory...
I still see you-
Hear you... and feel you...
In my tears...
I still miss you...
Need you...
Want you...
In my life....
I can't have you...
In yours-
you no longer want me...
Together...
We were a promise...
A daydream...
A moment of a tenderness-
in youth....
Never completed...
Broken...
Always thought about...
You went forward-
I never did...
When I went onward
Looking for those dreams...
Only to find
I had left them with you...
