My Canadian Chronicles 24 Poem by David Harris

My Canadian Chronicles 24

Rating: 5.0

Dusk had begun to fall
across this wonderful land
that I had come to.
As the rain danced across the windscreen
on our drive back to Calgary.
I sat in the back watching
the sun set as we drove along,
then as night transpired
everywhere the lights came on,
shining jewels in the night.
The road stretched into
the dark velvet claw of night
as we journeyed forward to meet it
and back to the place where we were staying.
