My Chapters Poem by phillip seymore

My Chapters

they say you need a father to raise a man
i used him for a crutch found another way to stand
at times he would fall and my face would hit the sand
i had to know man, i had to know that individual
i learned with my eyes, and used life as my visual
first was my mom that showed me that step
always do your best, and treat women with respect
even when your mad take breath recollect
never raise your hand only to protect
taught myself not to use sex
i can use sex when our eyes connect
she said its part of the codes when you use respect
and that step i used to direct to the next
which i learned from God he called it honesty
he told me to use it, no probably
NO LIES he stated in his prophecy
just ask, do no robbery
my next step has yet to be written
no rush, no skippin
keep going until God's pen is lifted
