My Chateau

My Chateau

*This be the verse
That shook my earth
We all die definitely
Married or celibacy

Poor or filthy rich
Side by side ditch
Why toil why breed
Genetic creed

Down the restrictive pipe flow
Tomorrow’s seeds of my woe

*This be the verse
Larkin’s inked curse
Affected my thought, though
His poem my chateau

Under greedy cloudy sky
Before the grave I did die
Messed up heritage on display
Final death hasten my soul away

Down the restrictive pipe flow
Tomorrow’s seeds of our woe

*This poem is not a reflection of who I am
But my humble homage to two great poems
Robert Louis Stevenson “Requiem”
Phillip Larkin” This Be The Verse”

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
