My Child's Questions Poem by Loraine Thomas

My Child's Questions

Rating: 2.8

My daughter said to me one day:
"Mom--my, why do you kneel and pray
to the Lord way up above?
Is he really God of love
I see you down on your knees. Is the Lord really pleased?
I see daddy on his knees with you
Mommy, do you think that God is true?" "Yes, my darling,
we kneel and pray,
We ask the Lord to take our sins away.
On our knees we bow to him
and he'll take us when he comes again." Would Jesus love me and be pleased
if I fell down upon my knees?
When will Jesus come again
to take us home to be with him?
Why are stars way up high?
Why does the moon shine in the sky?
Is Jesus on his throne
waiting to take us home? "Yes my darling
we kneel and pray.
We ask the Lord to take our sins away.
On our knees we bow to him
and he'll take us when he comes again."
