My Classmates In Troy High School Class 1960 From The Perspective Of 2016

My classmates from Troy High School Class of 1960
Alberta Conway Rudolf Stinney Judy Chuckrow Carol Aronowitz
Francis Malise Ed Maly John Dohrendwend Richard Clarke Richard Tofte
I can only see them now as I last saw them over fifty years ago
Teenagers on the way to making their real lives-

Somehow they are gone
I see them as they were then
I know nothing of the transformations of the years
And how they came to whatever they came to-

Life is a dream
And the dream of the Troy High class of 1960
Has ended for some and soon will end for the rest-

How could they so young and so full of hope
Just not be here now?

What happened to them?

Each has a story I do not know
As I have one they will never know

How lonely long and empty life now seems
How overwhelmingly sad

Even the paths with little or no glory
Lead to the grave.
