My Cold Companion And I Poem by Emmanuel Stone

My Cold Companion And I

I like you, because you're cold
you bring to light, feelings of old
So I grip you tighter
Invite me, help me, save me.
Spoken in tongues familiar
I set forth to look into the past
You shall be my companion
and speak to me,
show me the way.

So Forth We Set! My Cold Companion and I
Trouble me not, for I am already wrestling
And Into the Forgoten Wild
We shal Wander until we return
And then, armed with spear and shield
Ready to travel many more days
We shall leave the wild
and enter the wilderness,
My Cold Companion and I
