My Dark Lover Poem by Lilith Rose Reitenbach

My Dark Lover

Those beautiful blue eyes
Gaze upon me
They would see my sins are forgiven
If those fingers

Were to touch my tears of blood
While the humans
Hurt each other
They kill each other

They hurt me
Perhaps my beloved dark one
Could set me free
For my beloved found

A haven within me
That no one else could see
My own voice faultered
As I lay broken in darkness

My wings no longer
Have the strength to fly
The voice of my beloved
Was all I could hear

But will you save me?
And share my dark fate?
