My Daughter, A Good Artist, Makes The Fish To Swim Into The Water!
My daughter is a good artist!
She has learnt and experienced to draw the pictures
by joining the lines and colorful paints;
While she draws the birds,
she draws the wide sky and the fruity trees
for the birds to sit and rest;
The water never dries up
in the rivers and the lakes
she draws;
While she draws the water-birds,
she draws the fish too and makes these
to swim into the water;
While she plans to draw the scenarios of the lands,
after painting the green fields of grass,
she draws the cattle and makes them to graze;
The black clouds she drew turned in to shower a heavy rain,
all get drenched, but she didn't draw to give umbrella
in anybody's hands!

சித்திரக்காரி
மகள் நல்ல சித்திரக்காரி
கோடுகளையும் வண்ணங்களையும்
நுட்பமாக இணைத்து சித்திரம் வரைய
கற்றுத் தேர்ந்திருக்கிறாள்.
அவள் பறவைகளை வரையும்போது
அகண்ட வானத்தையும் அவை அமர்வதற்கேற்ற கனி
மரங்களையும் வரைந்து விடுகிறாள்
அவள் வரையும் ஆறுகளிலும் குளங்களிலும்
நீர் வற்றுவதே இல்லை
நீர்ப் பறவைகளை வரையும்போது
நீருக்குள் மீன்களையும் வரைந்து நீந்த விடுகிறாள்
நிலக்காட்சிகளை வரைய திட்டமிடும்போது
பசும்புல்வெளிகளை தீட்டிய பின்
கால்நடைகளை வரைந்து மேய விடுகிறாள்
அவள் வரைந்த கார்மேகங்கள் \ பெரும் மழையாகி
பெய்யும்போது எல்லோரும் நனைகின்றனர்
அவள் யார் கையிலும் குடை வரைந்து கொடுக்கவில்லை. -
