My Dear Friend Poem by Talmadge Rogalla

My Dear Friend

My dear Friend,
How are thee?
Don’t go with the flow,
Come to me.

You are a mystery,
A pleasant sight,
Shrouded by adversity,
That’s your plight.

You have my sympathy,
You’re a delight,
I immerse you with empathy,
Then you take flight.

Through anxiety and fears,
You have a cautious heart,
In expressing your tears,
I’ve played my part.

You were depressed,
You were sad,
The days gone by,
Were sometimes bad.

Try and intend,
Not dwelling on plight,
I’m your friend,
Your future looks bright.
