My Doughnut

My sweet little doughnut
sitting in the box
Ready to be eaten
And some very hard knocks
I do nut want it to be beaten

Sweet maple glaze
Covering sweet soft dough
Cutstard Filling with a chocolate haze
A warm doughnut not covered in snow

This donut deserves soft dining ware
And all that I could care
Chomp, chomp, down my throat
I need another sweet doughnut ready to float

"Heaven"—is what I cannot reach!
The Apple on the Tree—
Provided it do hopeless—hang—
That—"Heaven" is—to Me!
