My Epitaph Poem by wild fire

My Epitaph

Rating: 0.5

(it was an assignment for school)

The long struggle is over.
I think I did dying well,
with no tears or regrets
Like a cheesy movie of the week.
It was laughs and jokes.
Why be so sad when you die?
The Cree believe you’re made
Of two souls, as do I.
It’s too beautiful not to believe.
You have the body soul and
The spirit soul.
The body soul lives in you,
Physical, real, your purpose in life.
The spirit soul wanders in the great
Vast green land of open fields and
Eternal summertime, but it is lost.
When your body dies,
The body soul meets the spirit soul
And they become one and
Are whole once again.
So why be sad,
When I am to feel whole
In awhile.
No, I am overjoyed.
