    the lyrics could suffer during the process and I wouldn't want to miss those rhymes... but if you can, improve them...

    Beautiful!
    Because it's simple and to the point, and still manages to carry style! The poem brings to the mind (and more) of the reader a frame of mind that most have stood against...
    Some verse, if I may suggest so, could be corrected into better and thus more persuasive English.
    Do you translate your poems or do you write them in English at once? Nevertheless, I must show my appreciation – your message is strong and only emphasized by style.
