My Eyes
This poem is for Abeer, one of my tutees and a grade 3 student, asked me to write a poem for her school project.
I have two eyes
look at them
they are so bright.
To the left, to the right
up and down they are looking around
searching for the sound.
They weep when I'm sad
They smile when I'm glad
They peep when I want to sneak
They sleep to have a break
My eyes are so nice
I keep gazing at the mirror thrice
so I must take care of my eyes
to see the world rise.
