My Eyes Always Searched You Poem by April Pearl

My Eyes Always Searched You

My eyes always searched you
You stood there enquiring something in the hall,
I totally lost myself, I was speechless.
My eyes welled.I put my hands around you.
I wished I could tell you how unbearable it was, to be away from you all these years.
All those lonely nights that I spent without you was not any less torcherous.
I wanted to tell you all the wonderful things our children did.
You and I missed all the romantic outbursts.
I wanted to show you all the nicest things that I bought for us.
I wanted you to be there when my anxious moments showed up.
No one else could handle me better.
I woke up from my thoughts for it was impossible to have you back.
I stared at him across the chair, a look alike, like my love.
I went up to him and told him how charming a person he was.
I am sure it must have shocked him.
I couldn't but help myself.
Else I would have ended up doing all that I thought.
I walked away and returned only after he left.

sadly this poem makes me think of my lost love, I enjoyed this poem but you should spend some time checking your spelling but aside from this it was very enjoyable if sad.
