My Fairy Wedding Poem by stephanie varnadore

My Fairy Wedding

Everything is covered in white,
I looked around to make clear of my sight.
There was no color that stuck out,
Nothing caught me as I looked about.
Even the faces in the crowd,
Were covered like a cloud.
Their cheeks were rose
And they were not to pose.
White petals lay on the tile,
That gave a pure light to the aisle.
On each side there stood
White chairs made of wood.
Cover all, did this powder of white
And I knew that today was right.
Thee organist began to play,
All I could do was sway.
Three girls went on ahead,
They were beautiful, enough was said.
An older man took my arm
And led me down with such charm.
The faces were clearer to me,
As is I was bringing them glee.
There were four men in black,
With tears and smiles that did not lack.
One walked up to me and my guide
And took my arm as my daddy sighed.
The man was almost in complete tears,
The ceremony went fast, ending in cheers.
I gazed into his emerald green eyes
And thank God for no more butterflies.
He gently took my face in his hands,
I felt a chill from his silver band.
We came together for a perfect kiss,
The cheers grew louder with nothing to miss.
My fairytale came true,
Nothing can ever separate me and you.
