My Father Poem by Sahra Hussein

My Father

Father, you were the great hero
You were protective of my life,
Cover from the danger
You were behind reason of my polite
Father, the day I lost you
My heart suffered great desperation
I didn't forget your words
No cry no shouting because
The words shows me that
Every one will die

Father, I miss you
I miss stories you used tell me
I miss your surprise gift.
I miss your merciful eyes.
I miss your warm hands
I miss the way you hold me
Under your coat to keep me warm

Father, I learn uncles and cousins and
Aunts who likes me from their eyes
Who never allowed me to feel lonely?
You didn't leave behind for me a material world
But you left behind expansive heredity
You left behind lovely family.

Father I work hard every day to
Keep higher my heredity
And my lovely country
Where ever I go I promise to myself
