My Fear Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

When I think about your love, I am so scared, deep inside.
You have hurt me before, the scars I try to hide.

But, just as I look at you, and forgive you,
I see the scars, and remember the pain.

Of knowing something was just not right,
and you just played your game.

I am afraid to trust you, and afraid to trust me,
my decisions are somehow faulty,
I am not sure I see clearly.

But, I know that I love you, more than can be expressed,
and am willing to try again, to reach for that happiness.

I love you with all my heart,
and all that I know, is without you.....

I don't know how to go on.
