My Final Ray Of Sunshine Poem by Dez Clark

My Final Ray Of Sunshine

Drifting from reality,
Wondering if it's a dream.
Though the farther I wade out,
It is not what it seems.

I fail to help you today,
And I'll fail to help you tomorrow.
It just doesn't matter how hard I try
All I bring is sorrow.

My broken wings shall never fly
My broken heart will never love
My teary eyes could forever cry
From cruel emotional shoves.

Shadows indeed exist,
They follow me quite well
What do these signs mean, you ask?
Only time shall tell.
The clock is ticking down
To the last suffered strive
At last I take a glimpse
Of my final ray of sunshine.
