My First Dance Poem by Summer Song

My First Dance

Rating: 5.0

My world is conveluted
My mind is in a fog
as I walk across the dance floor
My arms are crossed against my chest

Watching them all dance
They are smiling with a true identity
They joke and make conversation
above the roaring sound

The music gets slower
everyone looks nervous but content
as the boys get their partners
I take a step back

I am staring at the crystal ball
my eyes see him walking towards me
All I can hear now
Is the beating of my heart

Would you like to dance?
he says catching my wondering eye
He took my hand and led me into the abiss
Of the flashing light
