My First Love Poem by kishalaya tiwary

My First Love

Rating: 5.0

I met a girl of my choice,
got a reason to rejoice.
I tried hard but couldn't raise my voice,
I had no option, then to act poise,
And my love story sailed like a tortoise.

Your eyes were rare,
always filled with care,
To which i glared,
And in response you stared.

As the clock ticked on,
My feelings flicked on.
And the mere thought to depart,
Tinged my heart like a poisoned dart.

You were always right.
It was me, who had a fright,
of losing you.
And the doomsday came,
When i lost your sight.

I don't want anything more,
because love hurts even more.
Enough that i have bore,
Now that my wounds are sore,
I don't want to see you anymore.
But still my love,
You are the only one i adore.

With twitching lips and twirling fingers,
You came close and closer,
And went past me
My heart then skipped a beat.
And now that you are gone,
Just once, just one more time,
I want my heart to feel the same.
You are the girl of my choice,
Who gave me a reason to rejoice.
