My Friend Barry Glen

I am talking about my friend

His name was Barry Glen

He was happy and was wed

Then his friend was met by his end

Now dear Glen was off to war

Not to be seen forevermore

His family was crying but he wouldn’t stop

Now his family would have to cut their own crop.

Berry Glen would not be weary

But he would have to take a ferry

Of to war Barry was shipped

Scared as all hell that the boat could be flipped

Doomed to his death as the boat siren warned

And hit a mine while his wife sat and mourned

As the boat fell victim to the waters great size

His entire life passed before his eyes

as he regretted all of his lies

This battle for friend

Was at an end…

Then all of a sudden there was hope

As the boat came afloat

No one know what had been done

Then they remembered what was wrong

The ships hull is very strong

So hitting a mine could do no harm

Do no harm to those in arms

Now at their troubles they can sneeze

All unprejudiced just said jeeze

They were floating to the land

Which was covered by blood stained sand

Glen’s revenge had just gained hope

Now he was grappling down the boat with rope

They have hit land at least they thought

Because they came to a sudden stop

Now stuck on a rope Barry was scared

Now looking at the waters big great stare

They were stuck on a coral reef

And so pondering at their grief

The captain had to back up the boat

Now he to wait on the rope

Minutes went by as the captain went back

Taking his time to fix his track

Once moving forward the trip was quick

Heading to a area of the countries pick

Just when Barry could finally let go

All of a sudden the forest started to glow

Everyone started to say no

They said this was crazy and wanted home

By then Barry glen had started to roam

He explored the ground of the battlefield And pulled out his sword at which he can wield

He is a master at the sword and a master on the field

Now he has found the battle

To revenge his friend who has been rattled

He was given a metal for his bravery

And has luckily stopped some slavery

Now Barry wasn’t the only brave one

Wasn’t the only one under the sun

For the people that were brave

They were able to stop the rave

That’s why we remember all those brave soldiers

On this Remembrance Day we shall remember

All the people who fell for their endeavour

And the few who live on

Barry glen was one of those few

That is why I am writing for you
