My Friend Mithuns Bullet Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

My Friend Mithuns Bullet

I got hurled forward like a massive ball of fire
While we sped through the road of eternity,
Time stood frozen at our bidding
As the world converged into a great symphony,
Splinters of raindrops pierced me like needles
As I moved along with speed incarnate;

Sound and motion became obsolete in our twilight zone
As he broke the barrier of time and speed,
Specks of light sifted through our force field
As the spirit of freedom shrouded the sky
While the clouds had all darkened
Announcing the arrival of a perilous storm;

Rhythms of lightening fast numbers raced through my mind
As I yearned to crush the rules of grammar
To brag endlessly about exploits of the master of speed,
Soon lightning started flashing hard
Desperate to burn his audacity,
But the master had finally tamed the forces
While I kept speeding as a shadow on his flashy bike,
I still keep waking on stormy nights from this recurring dream
To record my endless thoughts about this once in a lifetime journey.

(Dedicated to to the fastest biker i have seen and travelled with in person....my friend Mithun George)
