My Friends Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

My Friends

My friends

Ant is my best friend
then after the fly, moth and small spiders
all are wise and petite
we sit, talk…

“The mountains are too big and stuck…”
told me with full stop; as if telling me:
“Are glued to power, politics
like White House, Kremlin and so on…
are the fools and are dumb…”

I sat thought…

Then received some lessons from the
fly and lizard and, the frog
and I walked to the webs
spiders’:
“Mosquitoes suck blood, have greed but no mind…”

I went round on a tour near lake, and the pond and brook
water waved in the dusk, up and down with the tide
mosquitoes danced and sang and laid eggs
on return they flew to the webs…

“Hey friend…be bright.”
told me the spider after meal…
“Easy catch, what a hunt! ”
