My Future Child Poem by Violetta Sunshine

My Future Child

Oh how I wish I had a child of my very own,
I would teach it all that I have ever known,
We would go for picnics in the park,
And on bonfire night see the fireworks spark,
Together we would read Harry Potter books,
In the kitchen we would become good cooks,
We would bake biscuits and cakes galore,
And go shopping at every wonderful store,
We would go to the movies every weekend,
And at the beach many hours we would spend,
The finest pictures we would paint and draw,
We would make milkshakes to drink with a straw,
Together we would play tennis and football,
And put up posters on your bedroom wall,
We would buy a cat and two goldfish,
And go to the magic fountain and make a wish,
We would play the piano and sing a song,
And go for walks with our kite flying along,
I hope my dream will someday come true,
But until then I wait patiently for you.
