My Gift Poem by Katherine Graven

My gift God has given me
Opens my soul so some can see
Words dancing within my mind
Sometimes it is like the blind leading the blind

I have no fear of what I am to write
Where God leads, my fingers will type
I know life lessons are God’s only tools
To bring salvation by using God’s rules

God has granted me this blessing time after time
The ability to write from my soul’s hand to guide
Not realizing what it is until I am through
Leaving me wondering who the written message is to

So for the ones who read my poetry
If it touches your heart and tears rain potently
Just understand that God whispered to me
So that you can find understanding or even peace

For this is the gift God gave to me.
