My God Is A Policeman Poem by Olawale Ogunrinola

My God Is A Policeman

I know why all men like to commit crime.
Right from cradle till we enter our grave,
We have all been reprogrammed to break God's heart.
It is an hobby the young like so much;
Even the old ones are not left behind.

I can't stop wondering why they run away.
All creation running helter-skelter,
Fleeing from the face of her creator.
None will have anything to do with God;
They thought He is the cause of all their woes.

They carved a statue of a policeman.
The statue they called 'the God of all flesh'.
He held a very long rod in his hand;
He wore a hard face no one dare look twice.
This statue is found in everyone's heart.

Right in the mosque, you will find this statue.
The herbalist has got one for himself;
Even in the church, they erected one;
And the sculptor of this fiery statue,
Is God's archenemy, the prince of hell.
