My Great Love Of Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

My Great Love Of Nature

Rating: 2.0

My verses may seem slipshod not even poetry
But my great love of Nature you cannot take that from me
And who could not but love Nature on a day like today
In the blue sky the sun shine amongst clouds woolly gray
Such beautiful weather around twenty degrees
Nature's birds are singing on the bushes and trees
The coolness of Autumn in the freshening breeze
And the buzzings of flies and nectar gathering bees
About the beauty around me a poet would write
A poem of great beauty for others to read or recite
The flute of the magpie the song of the pee wee
Carrying in the breeze in the park by the sea
I do love Nature truly of that I won't lie
And her I will love till the day that I die.
