My Heart Poem by Purnima Arha

My Heart

Rating: 4.5

O wanderer, my heart
why don't you stop,
knocking every closed door?
Why don't you settle down?

But even if you do so,
you'll find no rest here.
Why can't you stop scratching
your grief embedded core?

Directionless you flow
How far will you go?
You have no elixir,
you'll find no cure.

This world has its beauty,
But is it meant for us?
My hopeful beggar,
You'll get no love alms here.

You claimed yourself to be a giver,
Now what are you asking for?
These whiplashes you take,
inflict no pain anymore.

Though you flood sometimes,
but only when you lose hope.
Oh! my fearless sailor
Now your boat is offshore.

This journey goes on.
