My Heart Could Never Be The Moon Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

My Heart Could Never Be The Moon

Rating: 5.0

My heart could never be the moon
For it doesn't regenerate
Months pass by and it never waxes
Only perpetually wanes and fades

My heart could never have Luna's aura
Filled with mysteries transcending time
Something revered and respected
That through peoples' souls glides

My heart could never capture the sky
With the moon's grace and light
Causing confidence to rise
As darkness no longer conquers night

My heart could never be so open
For all to see so bright
Guiding others through their weakness
By putting my secrets in sight

My heart could never be the moon
For it's existence doesn't bring gain
All it does is hide its shame
Dissipating until nothing remains
