My Heart Does Sing Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

My Heart Does Sing

Rating: 5.0

My heart does sing for summer shines
Such beauty is abound,
As flowers dance in meadows green
The treasures I have found,
The sapphire sky so peaceful far
Above the woodland trees,
From whence the birdsongs sweetly float
Upon the gentle breeze.

My heart does sing for summer shines
I see the butterflies,
The fields of gold and waving corn
So restlessly it lies,
The downs within the distance stand
Are calling out to me,
To come to them and witness all
Surrounding there to see.

My heart does sing for summer shines
Such joy I feel inside,
For now my love does overflow
And reaches far and wide,
Down country lane I slowly walk
Through shades and verges green,
And gaze upon this pleasant land
With wonders so serene.
