My Heart Hurts Poem by DICKSON MSETI

My Heart Hurts

Hello,
If you need me
I would cross the mountain and dams only to see you smile,
Hello
If you know me
You would fight for me because that’s what I do
Hello
If you come to me
I would give you all except the pain in your heart
Hello
Do you hear me?
Even though I whisper I could blast your heart for love.
Hello
You should listen to me
I forgot my last name for the red tears I cry blinds my eyes
Hello
Would you tell me?
The blade you used you used to cut me, where is it kept?
Hello,
If you are listening
It is me the same man that you crossed over
Hello
You should know me
As your soul and mine the lines have faded between us.
Hello.
Am sleeping now
I shall meet you to the other end of my dream land
