My Heart Is Clothed Poem by Mcanthony Nwatu

My Heart Is Clothed

The cloud is close with darkness
and i have a lot of clothes
outside but my heart is clothed.

The light has gone
it happens often when
heaven wants to sweat
but i can't help it
my heart is clothed

I can hear the wind talking commanding trees, windows
and curtains to dance
but my heart is clothed.

My good clothes: love, leisure
are hanging outside
dancing to the wind's tone
some carried away flushing
to the gutter after partying with the soil
but my heart is clothed.

He is wearing lofty, academics.
still in my hands i have materials
to sew future for my heart to wear
am willing to sew it
so as to rise with the sunset.
