My Heart Yearns Poem by Keith Foley

My Heart Yearns

Rating: 4.5

I'm in a place that's best for all.
Is it wrong to hear anothers call?

I must not make a sudden move,
I'll knock this record from its groove.

The song it plays, hasn't changed in years,
same old song, same old tears!

I feel compelled not to change a thing,
a committement made, when I bought that ring.

She's really done no wrong,
I yearn to hear the tune of another's song.

Is this a selfish act or an unjust thought,
what about the ring she had bought?

Am I being fare; she's the mother of my child,
is this the devil or my heart running wild?

A deep desire is bursting from my chest,
till I embody (real) love, my mind will get no rest!

Quite true sentiment... its like a genie in a bottle, you have all the power of love but can not just get lose because you are committed (cursed inside the bottle) . Unless somebody comes along and say the magic word (true love) that you gain the confidence to say goodbye! High marks.
