My Inner-Soul Poem by kawambee thomas

My Inner-Soul

Like a flower blooming amidst the snow
Or a single leaf in the wind as it blows
A wave of sound across the sky
A shimmer of light like a star in your eye

I knew I met you, you were the one
The one who rises and sets with the sun
You swam deep inside me and danced with my soul
I can’t turn back now or I’ll loose self-control

Passion burns deep inside me like never before
Don’t stand in the thresh-hold walk through the door
Your intelligence came and arrested my mind
Our hearts spark a fire as our bodies entwine

Give in to temptation that’s what I’m thinking
While your body, your mind, your soul I’m drinking
You taste like sweet wine on the edge of my lips
I breathe you, as I look deep into your eyes

Worlds collide
Deep inside
As we both become high.
