You're my soulmate and you've been good for me
And you've given me young children John and Lee
And you grow more lovely mature like good wine
My brown haired one my Jenny of Sunshine.

I tell my friends at work that you are ace
That you are wonderful and your heart's in the right place
And I tell them of the love I feel for you
And every word so happen to be true.

Were I a poet I'd strum on my guitar
And I'd tell the world how beautiful you are
I'd sing my lay for the whole World to hear
And I'd call the song my song to Jenny Dear.

Neil Diamond may sing of sweet Caroline
But I'll sing of my Jenny of Sunshine
My lovely Jenny with the mouse brown hair
I know no one with her who could compare.

I love you more than words could ever say
And I hope you have a wonderful birthday
And may all your dreams on your birthday come true
And what more could I wish or ask for you.
