My Judges Poem by Francis Duggan

My Judges

My judges for to judge me go out of their way
And they pigeon hole me by the things that they say
Like what company do you work for and what job do you do
My judges far too many and my friends far too few.

My judges as people will never stand tall
For they don't believe in a fair go for all
My life my own business and not their's to know
And warm feelings for them in me never could grow.

It's so true what they say 'tis a jungle out there
And that my judges too many I am all too aware
Their feigned interest in me is information seeking lies
And my dislike for them I can barely disguise

My judges the many those who pigeon hole
Those who sneer at the meaning of food for the soul
And I have a few friends and though they are too few
My friends I can trust and to them I am true.
