My Kamikaze Man Poem by Jyotishman Debnath

My Kamikaze Man

)
The humming clouds
and my song dies on my toungue
I swallow the song inside
and then there is a rain
silence rain and fire

a caterpiller crawls in the pocket of my
blood stained shirt
a caterpiller is just a caterpiller
it is not a butterfly
nor a glow worm.

II)

like a great Don Quixote
I can ride on the horse
take the mighty(?) sword
and fight with the sweet nothings
ah! it's all about giving rich dull prizes to the self!

III)

I hide my face by a cloth of Japanese silk
and may be I wear a Kimono

But the way I know the art of ikebana
the same way I know the curse of harakiri

Oh! my Kamikaze man
oh! my Kamikaze man!

IV)

in my eyes there are thousand pieces of a gory sun

within a mousetrap,
there is a chirst
and a sinner

the sinner commits sin
and the chirst forgives

days fly by
and I move on
through the corridor of a river of blood

I engrave myself
sing a dirge

in the depth of the yellows
i DROWN i drown and I drown

V)

years long gamble
and still playing the game

In a drunken ship I'm sailing on

caterpiller and my kamikaze man
their role ends when they die
what happense after the storm
no one knows!

someday I'd love to burn out
by a riverside
along with the catertpiller and my kamikaze man
throwing away the sunflower

but tides might wash away my ashes

death will be no success
death will be no success

then?
