My Killing Lover Poem by Claude H Oliver II

My Killing Lover

Rating: 5.0

She greets me every morning
She daily soothes my inner pain
She guides my sails each day
She goes to bed with me every night
She fills my empty spirit with her emptiness
Through her eyes all is wonderful
Her poison is my comfort
Her venom is my anesthesia
Death is this snake
Who is nestled in my bosom
Who fills the whole/hole in my existence
Who walks me through my hell each day
Whose distilled essence drenches my soul
Without her I must die
Yet she kills me in her own way
