My Lake Poem by Ronald James de Langen

My Lake

A tranquil lake my mind’s been of late.
Deep thoughts do make, as to our fate.
The path unknown, before is un-shown.
Time is unowned, here on a loan.
Trodden day after day, lost to the way.
Work, not to play. Death to delay.
Having to fake even this heartache.
My mindnumbing lake away the pain take.
