My Life Poem by Priscilla Dornan

My Life

Lathering on the bitterness
thick and cold
coating my entire outlook
imune to hope
truth be told
blood drips from vains not my own
reflecting back images
belonging to another soul
taking long strides
to a destination
hidden behind
secrets and lies
bombarded with past memories
ragged and worn
already used
tossed and torn
blinded by the deafening screams
dark and bleak
seeping in my tranquil dreams
breaking the track of my silent tears
chilling my heart
blasting thru happiness
taining the air with the stench of my fears
take a seat and listen
to the story of my life
breaking down the fragments
years of heatasche and strife
crashing past my defenses
one lie at a time
stealing my inabitions
kisses of a capitol crime
