My Life Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

My Life

'All is change: all yield its place and goes.' Euripedes

Life is vapid, the absence of colors - dull,
Slighted feelings, more painful than it's hurt,
Temerity crashes the loving, caring heart,
Furtive mind lurks conspiring to be cruel,
Apprehensive thoughts doubts unqualified,
Garish color dull, pain unmollified,
As momentary memories flew in and died out,
Regretful feelings hastened out of the heart,
Replace by horizons colorful and alive,
A new beginning - olive trees - survived
Beyond the hills and on a mountaintop,
A picture of new life - affairs atop our
Life, a challenge to our hearts of strong
And willful minds, Subdued once in a while,
Yet only until then we see - await - for then
The sun will rise, for dawn will surely smile again.
