My Life I Will Decide Poem by lexi bowsman

My Life I Will Decide

My rights were paid for in blood
Who died and said you could take them

My freedom was given to me when born
Who said that you could take it away

My speech was allowed with cuts and scars
Who said you could restrict my words

My weapons have been allowed for defending
Who said you were enough to defend me

My life i will decide
So stop trying to decide for me
