My Life (The One You Destroyed) Poem by Abby Belmont

You used to be so close
You used to be by my side
I'd come home and you were there
And now i wonder where you went

I grew up in the bad part of the city
Where the poor ones with drugs live
That was my home, running all the time
Now im lost in the middle of nowhere

I didnt know what a family was
Till i got older and saw tv families
And i wondered why i wasnt like that
I wondered why i didnt have a life

This life is full of curses
Cuz somebody didnt give a sh*t
Drugs and fights im used to
All i wanted was a life

A little kid out on her own
That was me, until trouble caught up with me
Now i was shipped away
And i live here....no better than i once was
