Time so precious came to me,
Inside a special place, I grew to be,
My mother's heart, I've been so close to,
The beat of her heart, its rhythm so true,
Oh, so small, yet grew I to be,
Then upon the Earth, by birth, came me;
A mixture of land, some air and the sea,
Sprinkled with time, is my life you see;
I learned how to crawl then learned to stand,
Learned how to run, now a grown man;
Those special moments, day after day,
Taught me words, to speak, I now say;
That which be evil and that most good,
Mingled with time, my life understood;
Inside the heart, she taught me to pray,
She taught me to have faith in her own special way.
So when life expires, and this world must end,
Inside the heart, I know there's a friend.
