I melt in your arms
And my ego
Bereft of its throne
Falls to the floor
Waiting for you
To release me

Often in my embrace
You do so, too
And we meld together
In an alchemy
Which defies reason
Taking us
Into another dimension
Where we are
And we are not
Till sated, spent
We pull apart
The world returns
And we become
You and I

Yet the memory of our togetherness
Nourishes
And the you in me
The me in you
Lingers,
Yearning for more
Once again
Sooner than soon
